Part amateur, part complete beginner and part optimist, I armed myself with a Nikon D50 in July 06 in a quest to do nothing more than have someone look at one of my pictures and say "Wow, I'll take a print of that" before hanging it lovingly just above their toilet.

I'm still waiting - hey, bathroom wall space is highly sought after these days (or so they tell me).
